These fittings are used when the requirements for gas purity are crucial:
- In laboratories in general (as point-of-use valves),
- For gas chromatography, spectrometry, for non-corrosive gases, e.g. Ar, He, N2, H2, C2H2. If a fitting is intended for use of C2H2 (Acetylene) or other burning gases, make sure that a flame arrester is installed to prevent incidental flame propagation.
